Sherylynn Sealy, also known as YogiSealy, is a yogini, strategist, artist, and educator with a varied background. She received dance and choreography training from studios and experts from New Haven Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Bosoma Dance Company, and Urban Bush Women which has significantly shaped her unique style. She received her yoga certification from Mang'Oh Yoga and currently teaches at Mang'Oh Yoga and Balance Yoga and Healing.

As a dancer, Sherylynn creates solo and group artistic works that depict a positive message of encouragement. She is the founder and dance instructor for an eight-member dance group at her church in Brooklyn, NY, Greater Glory Nazarene Ministries. The former ballet instructor at Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School in New Haven, CT, has had her work performed at various churches and schools across New England and New York including at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, CT. The freelance artist has performed original solo choreography at various churches across New England and New York, and at the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut.

As a certified yoga instructor and practicing yogi, YogiSealy appreciates the marriage of her strong spiritual background with her love for movement. She believes yoga is for everyone and desires to share its physical, mental, and spiritual benefits with all people.

When she is not practicing yoga or dance, Sherylynn enjoys singing and has performed vocal solos at Boston Symphony Hall, Edward A. Hatch Memorial Shell at Charles River Esplanade of Boston, and similar venues throughout Massachusetts and neighboring states. In her leisure time she enjoys data analysis, research, and strategic planning, and has used this to support arts groups including Gibney Dance. She aims to spread joy in all that she does.

Sherylynn is a Teach for America alumna. She received her Master’s in Public Administration from New York University in 2017 and her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in 2012. Sherylynn is the Programs Manager for Grantmakers in the Arts.
